LABELMATE Label Slitters allow you to print small labels several across
("up") and then slit them to the desired width. This multiplies
your print efficiency by a factor equal to the number of labels across,
and dramatically increases the life and efficiency of your print head and
ribbons.
The LABELMATE Models S-100 and S-200 are
rugged High-Speed, Heavy-Duty Label Slitters that require no power themselves.
They are designed to be used with the LABELMATE CAT-2 Label Rewinder and,
for the highest efficiency off-line use, with a Label Unwinder. The CAT-2
Label Rewinder does the work as it pulls the label web through the cutting
blades.
S100 Slitter
The Model S-100 Heavy-Duty Label Slitter
includes 2-blades. It is shown here with the optional Preset Counter PC-1.
Slitters can be used in either "in-line" or in an "off-line"
mode. In "in-line" use, the Slitter is positioned between the
printer output and a LABELMATE CAT-2 Label Rewinder. The slitting speed
is determined by the printer output speed. In "off-line" use,
the Slitter is used with a LABELMATE Unwinder and a CAT-2 Rewinder to
achieve maximum slitting convenience and throughput. With slitting speeds
up to 30-inches per second in "off-line" mode, you’ll make
fast work of big slitting jobs. Off-line slitting is recommended for production
operations or for three or more blades because of easier set-up than in-line
slitting.
S200 Slitter
An optional 6-digit Pre-set Label Counter
(PC-1) allows you to set the number of labels to be slit. When the counter
reaches your preset number, it sends a "HALT" signal to the
LABELMATE CAT-2 Label Rewinder. Power to the CAT-2 rewind motor is then
disconnected and braking is applied. You’ll have no more annoying
label spills to contend with.
Label Slitter station
For wider labels choose the S-200 Slitter
that handles label webs up to 9.5-inches wide. The optional PC-1 Counter
is also available on the S-200. Both Slitters use easily-replaced snap-off
slitting blades that are click-adjustable so they can be used over most
of their length, extending their useful life. No tools are required for
blade adjustment or replacement. During the slitting operation, the blades
are stabilized with LABELMATE's proprietary system, giving a precise cut
at all speeds. Rugged, welded, heavy-gauge steel construction and precision
